New Colin Devlin Album Coming Early Fall!
We are delighted to announce the forthcoming release of Colin Devlin’s (The Devlins) second solo album! And let us tell you this, it’s been worth the wait!
Following the critical and commercial success of his debut solo album Democracy Of One, the new album has also been produced by Canadian Pierre Marchand (Sarah MacLachlan, Rufus Wainwright). It was recorded in Montreal and Los Angeles over a ten-day period with some of Colin’s closest musical friends including: Matt Chamberlain (drums), Jeremy Ruzumna of Fitz And The Tantrums (keys), and Colin’s brother Peter Devlin of the Devlins (bass). Soundtrack composer and guitarist Michael Brook adds beautiful atmospheric guitar touches to a few of the tracks, and label-mate Chelsea Williams contributes striking harmonies.
The yet untitled album is in the final stages of mixing and boasts a different sound for the Grammy® nominated songwriter.
“After the somewhat stop/start approach to the recording of Democracy Of One, I wanted to bring all my favorite people and players together to make the new record in a short space of time with the focus being on us playing together in a very live ‘off the floor’ situation. Pierre Marchand has again done an amazing job of bringing it all together in a cohesive and modern way, and I can’t wait for people to hear it!” says Devlin.
