Kirk’s Corner 003: ‘Of A Simple Man’ Album Review

I love this album. I always have. The Album is “Of A Simple Man.” The artist is Lobo. He who once sang “Me And You And A Dog Named Boo.” That song is not on this album. But the hits “I’d Love You To Want Me” and “Don’t Expect Me To Be Your Friend” are. This album probably would be called a singer-songwriter album now. It is that. But, it also has great melodies with a combination of pop, folk, and country sensibilities. It’s been one of my ten favorites since its release, and it still is all these years later. It’s about simple things, no deep hidden meanings. It is, as its title says, the songs of a simple man.
